How to Choose the Best Multivitamin

Even if you feel as though you eat a well-rounded, healthy diet, it is still important to take a multivitamin to make sure your diet is complete with all the nutrients it needs.  When it comes to diet, I believe we should be eating unprocessed, real foods and the same goes for the multivitamin we take.  Several products on the shelves are made with synthetic (made in a chemistry lab) ingredients which do nothing good for our body.  I realize how overwhelming it can be when trying to figure out which ones are good and which ones are not.  The shelves are packed at the store with so many different vitamin supplements, it becomes confusing.  Hopefully I can break it down and make it a little less complicated.

What should you look for on the label?  This can be tricky!  Some synthetic vitamins have pictures of fruit and vegetables on the label even though they are not made with whole foods.  Look for a statement on the bottle saying that the product is made with all whole food ingredients that are organic.  We want our vitamins to be derived from real fruits and vegetables because we deserve the best quality!

On the Plate: 2 eggs, 1/2 C spinach, 1/2 C pan-fried sweet potatoes and 1 slice Ezekiel toast. 🙂

I have been using the multivitamin from Life Equals.  They are an amazing company that believes in the one-for-one concept.  For every Life Equals product that is purchased, they give an equal amount of children’s multivitamins to malnourished children around the world!  How incredibly giving is that!?  They are a company out of Kansas City, Missouri and I have personally spoke to the owner over the phone about what their company stands for and I am blown away.  They believe in using pharmaceutical grade ingredients in the most bioavailable forms to increase absorption and utilization by the body.  Made in the USA!

Not only do I love using the multivitamin from Life Equals daily, but they also have a probiotic which keeps my digestive system happy!

The wonderful owners of Life Equals are giving my friends (YOU!) an awesome DISCOUNT of 75% off your first order.  WHAT!?  That’s pretty fantastic if you ask me.

  1. Question regarding children’s multi-vitamins, there are so many out there, what do you look for in what kind of vitamins you give your chilren?

    1. Hi! I use two different brands for my kids because they both don’t like the same one. The brands are Smarty Pants and Yummy Bear Organics. Smarty pants are great because they are non-gmo and have no added sugar. Yummy Bears are organic and GMO free as well. As long as it isn’t made with synthetic ingredients and it’s a multi-vitamin you should be good! 🙂
