The Bliss Project and Travel Tips

What is The Bliss Project?  I had several people ask me this as they saw me posting pictures from the event.  The Bliss Project is a retreat put on by Lori Harder.  This weekend offered in-person experiences and tools to navigate the fear and doubt that hold you back.  The environment is set for you to learn and actually practice what you need to do in order to break through those barriers.

It’s amazing how things in life line up just the way they are meant to.  I took a leap and said yes to going to this retreat with Kim Miller, co-owner of Fit Mom Diet.  I was nervous but excited to take this little adventure and see what I would get out of it.  My goal was to go and clear my mind so that I could move forward with some ideas I have been playing around with the last few years.  Throughout the weekend I had the chance to talk about my new venture with my website and what I wanted to do with it.  After repeating it several times it became more clear what it was I wanted to do.  Listening to all the speakers and going through the action steps made me feel confident that I am on the right path.  I am in a good place and am setting myself up for success.  I have the right mind set, the right relationships in my life and the courage to move forward in my new career.  Exciting things are coming including my first ebook!  I’m working on it right now.

Kim and I decided to drive to Newport Beach instead of fly.  I loved being able to pack whatever I wanted and not have to worry about weight restrictions of suitcases and what can you can have in your carry-on bag.  Another bonus was being able to pack our own snacks and meals!  Not only does this ensure that you can stay on track while traveling but it also helps save money not having to dine out.

One thing to remember when traveling is to keep on top of your water intake.  It’s easy to get dehydrated when you’re out of your normal routine.  Take a water bottle along that you can refill at a water fountain or buy a case of bottled water to keep in your hotel room.  The hotel we stayed at had complimentary lime and orange infused water.  AWESOME!  Always try to figure out ways to stay active while away from home too.  Anything from a long walk to explore the area, working out in the hotel gym or going up all the flights in the stairwell.  Lucky us they had morning yoga both days!  That was such a great way to start the day.  I had never done a yoga class before.  I have done yoga videos from YouTube but that does not compare to a live group class.  It was amazing!

What are your favorite ways to stay on track when you’re away from home?  Favorite on-the-go snacks?

Have a great day! 🙂
